My strange fascination

I've always craved new feelings. Not just internal ones but external. Like that tingling you get when your half in a hot shower and half outside your window on a cold day. Yes I'm being utterly serious. I've always been like this, wanting to discover new sensations. It's odd, but hey that's me. Today I had a skin irritation on my legs caused by some body cream I used on some patches of dry skin. Anyway they went all red and blotchy and really itchy. I took a hot bath and it prickled my legs so much it was really wierd. My skin is really sensitive and loads of products irritate me which makes it really hard to shop for a particular thing. God i hate my skin. Does anyone else have this kind of problem? With anything? And do you have a strange fascination like me?

Hmmm...no I don't have any skin problems lol. But I do understand the whole "feelings thing". I personally love body modification. I like piercings and tattoos and any way of changing the appearance. I think that people always ask "doesn't that hurt" but in a way the pain in a welcome feeling. When I got my microdermals done it hurt but they came out really nice and as soon as I looked in the mirror I was thinking of getting two more of them pierced. I think that certain feelings and sensations are able to ground us alot. When things are going perfect in our lives its easy to feel invincible but then you get sick or a rash and suddenly you are a human again. I can walk into a piercing shop ready to alter my body for the rest of my life. Look at the power I have when I can spend $130 on two tiny pieces of metal in my face. But then that needle hits your skin and you are back to being a 17 year old sitting in a random piercing studio in Brooklyn. It kind of brings you back to yourself. lol So yeah...I think that sensation is my fasination. Its a really painful high. :p

I know what you mean! It's kinda freaky but you do feel a lot more real and ..i don't know how to describe it. What you said:)

I LOVE new sensations, i know exactly what you mean. It's weird and i never even noticed that i loved them until i read your journal. I especially love a scolding hot bath, hypothermia and the relief you get from itching yourself. God im so weird...
